To call Texas-born Beth Brinker your quintessential southern belle would be a bold-faced fib; in fact, with her quirky hallmarks, gypsy inclinations and lively style, she may be the furthest thing from it.
She grew up in Pasadena, Texas (just south of Houston, where they filmed Urban Cowboy and she was the FFA President…for 3 years.) She attended college at Texas A&M, where she studied Agricultural Communications and Journalism. It was during hertime in college that Beth started interviewing country artists like George Strait and Miranda Lambert for radio and television. It was also then that she began turning her passion for antiques and do-it-yourself projects into a profitable side business that helped pay her way through school.
Beth is often called an ‘old-soul,’ referring to her timeless sense of style and her love of traditional music, history and all things vintage. Growing up in the south, she was enamored with old things and stories as a tiny girl, likely the youngest collector of FiestaWare pottery and opting for a birthday party at an antique store with her mom over the traditional childhood skating party. Odd, she knows. She also had an affinity for music, specifically lyrics and the stories they told.
After graduation, she made the move to Nashville, TN, where she continued to turn her love of vintage knick-knacks, furniture and clothing into an entertainment industry must-have, dressing artists and photo shoot sets with her latest finds. She worked in television before opting to see the country through the window of a tour bus. The opportunity came to hit the road with The Country Throwdown Tour in the summer of 2010 with GAC (Great American Country.) The crew, the artists, the fans…On The Brink with Beth Brinker was born and at every stop she would explore the small towns and historic storefronts in search of collectibles and treasures, taking country superstars along for the ride.
In 2011, she hosted The Harley Davidson® On The Road Report with Beth Brinker, capturing all the behind-the-scene action from Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown Tour.
Lately, she has appeared on SpikeTV's Auction Hunters and has produced and starred in several television projects that combine her love of people and cool finds.
Beth's creative endeavors have had her zig-zagging across the country like a chevron. Between her Texas roots, her California love, and a home in Tennessee - she is all over the map. She admits, however, that Nashville is where she keeps her shoes and her dog, Foosh.
Her free-spirited take on fashion and life is infectious, bringing an unassuming air of sweetness to everything she does, whether it’s interviewing on the red carpet, perusing flea markets for her latest trinkets, recounting shenanigans on her blog, ON THE BRINK or working with artists and songwriters to pursue their own dreams.
